Goof off Friday!

Did we pick the perfect day to have a goof off Friday! Water - River -Jet ski and 90*F.. need I say more.. ???

I love how we pulled right up to this enormous boat with our tiny jet ski.. I still say we have 100 times more fun on the jet ski then any old boat! The bigger they are.. the farther away from the water you sit.. which in my opinion is just not as much fun!

We of course went straight to our favorite river restaurant.. Muddy Rivers Restaurant on the St. Croix River.. Sat out on the patio and ate wings, pizza, water for me and a Spotted Cow Beer for Steve.

We had an impossible time deciding between the taco pizza and a hot-spicy one.. so they were nice enough and did half & half! The taco pizza loaded with salsa was by far my favorite!

The beach Island was pretty busy on this beautiful Friday. It was really cool to see a huge house boat  with one of those glider plane that lands on water..the kind with the engine on top and you sit below.. It was right there too on the Island! Plus, Last time we were on the river and at the lake.. a float plane that landed right next to us.. who knew so many planes landed on the river.. and hung out all day?

I seem to be having problems with taking my thumb in photos.. 

The 78+F water felt great on my feet.. No need to get all in the water.. we were getting plenty wet from all the big waves today! It's the best conditions to jet ski.. when the waves are super big  we go air born then come crashing down.. water spraying every where.  On a hot day.. It's just what you need to stay cooled off!

Since we are really good parents.. we called it a day to make sure we could get home before Logan got off the bus... Made it just in time! Nice thing is that we've been boating so much this summer.. He didn't seem to care if we were out having fun all day.. We kind of felt guilty.. just a tiny bit.. 

We hit some really fun waves today out on the river.. at one point we rode through one huge wave only to plunge into another that crashed completely over us.. drenching us. It caught us off guard but we love it!

I have a feeling this was the last of the fun on the river.. We've had a super summer out on the river.. until next year..
