I need to do more of this in 2014
Baking, that's what I need to do more of this year!
Since it's January 1st, there is no better time to start baking more then by making banana bread. I practically ate one whole mini loaf by myself for a snack. Not exactly what I was trying to do, but a tasty treat hot out of the oven.I'm also going to start making a daily what makes me happy list.
Today what made me happy?
Running
Napping
Baking
Sending out a "Happy New Year 2014" Text to friends
Having a lazy day of laundry, cleaning and laying around catching up on The Big Bang Theory, first season.
Here's a re-cap of December's total for miles running...
174 miles.. and to think I ran 204 miles in the month of November!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014.......
Total Number of miles I ran outside, inside treadmill, on the cross ramp or cross country = 1,967 miles for 2013
I'll have to add up the miles mountain biking!
Happy 2014.. the right foot!
Happy New Year 2014!!!!
I start a new blog every year.. this year I might not be moving to a new blog page. I might just be stuck in 2013 forever as I can't seem to figure out how to sign out and re-create a new blog... runbuns14.. So it might be awhile that we are stuck in last year..
I started off my new year on the right foot.
1. I ran 5.5 miles.
2. Stretched and did a little meditation.. like I do every morning.
3. Drink lots of water.
4. Eat a healthy breakfast
5. Slept in till 7am.. (Much needed!)
6. Worked out with Steve..
7. Ab & arm workout..
8. One glass of wine last night with dinner = No headache!
9 Rang in the New Year, and counted down with the kids..
10 Ate an early lunch of left over pizza from last nights dinner
How did you ring in the new year?
How are you starting 2014 off on the right foot?

Good Bye 2013
In all 2013 was a good year. All years have some rough spots..lows and highs. I can mostly say there were tons more highs then lows..
I would have to say one of my biggest regrets of 2013 was to not do the triathlon. I let my fear of the lake = gross water creep me out to talk myself out of doing this race. While I had good reasons to Not do it this year.. (used the money to buy equipment, bike/GPS watch and real running shoes). I have zero excuses next summer.
I'm still working out and only missed 27 days total for the year. That is still and always will be a huge accomplishment. It takes a lot of effort day in and day out to stay focused on staying fit and keeping off the weight I lost.
I did gain some weight over the year but I am determined in 2014 to lose the 10 to 15 pounds again and keep it off. I'll be concentrating more on just eating veggies and eliminating junk foods (not entirely but I don't need 3+ treats a day).
I'm not sure where 2014 will take me and my family.. but more good things in life are sure to come.
